Emma Hayward (she/they) is a fantasy author based in Western Australia. Despite her home town’s abundance of sunshine and pristine, never-ending beaches, her writing gravitates toward windswept moors, sentient forests, and places long unseen. An abiding love for nature led her to complete a PhD in biology, though to this day she still struggles to keep house plants alive. When not writing, Emma can be found somewhere outdoors, either snorkelling, hiking, or running.
